We had a very warm welcome from Dave & Caren. The room (2) was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The view over the loch was stunning and, on our first evening, the sight of a red deer grazing in the braken below was rather special. The breakfasts were excellent and Dave was a fount of knowledge about local walks and sights. It is very well placed for a short walk into Lochinver, itself for food and pies.
The room and the breakfast were very nice! We really enjoyed our stay. Dave & Caren are lovely hosts - it was nice to chat to them & they gave us good recommendations for things to see etc. We would defenetly recommend this b&b to our friends.
Stayed at Davar from Sunday to Friday with work while in the area. Rooms we're beautiful, beautiful views of the Lochinver harbour and out to sea. Set up just a beautiful location. Breakfast every morning was always great, the welcome was like you was part of the family. A very warm welcoming B&B. Always a friendly chat which is a massive part of your day when youre working Solo mostly up north when youre driving hours a day by yourself. Loads of information given upon booking. Honestly if you're going to be up Lochinver this would be the B&B I'd always recommend. We had a lovely stay for two nights - the bed was divine and the room was spotless and charmingly decorated. Dave & Caren cooked a wonderful breakfast and gave great local advice. Would stay again.
Excellent accommodation. Karen was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Gave recommendations about restaurants in the town and helped with any questions I had. Rooms very spacious. Everything very clean. A lot of choice for breakfast (which you choose from the list the evening before), lovely breakfast served up too. Would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I spent 2 lovely days in Lochinver, and Davar was just the best guest house to stay in. The 2 hosts and the room were lovely. With just 3 rooms, there are not many people, and the service and hospitality were top-class. They put so much thought into what they included in the rooms. The little luxuries were certainly noticed and appreciated. It was as good as staying in a 5-star hotel. We will come back to Scotland again, and when we do, we will certainly be back to stay at Davar. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough.
My wife and I spent one night in Davar’s B&B. The room is very clean and comfortable, nicely decorated, with a high end bed. The breakfast was delicious, with the opportunity to choose from a large range of Scottish typical dishes. We were even recommended a hike in the area that was really fantastic, many thanks for the tip ! For the kindness of the hosts, the quality of the room and the beauty of lochinver’s surroundings, we would recommend Davar with no hesitation!
We had an amazing stay at this gorgeous BnB. It is a small business with 3 guest rooms which added to the charm. Our room (room 1) was very comfortable and immaculately clean, with an en suite bathroom and a brilliant view over Lochinver harbour. Breakfast was fab with a range of choices selected from a menu the night before. The hosts Caran & Dave were really helpful and gave us lots of local advice. Couldn’t fault a thing! Highly recommend.
